Yesterday, Russia hold its national selection for deciding their entrant for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017 which is going to happen in November in Tbilisi, Georgia. Despite the fact that the show will be aired tonight at 5pm CET on Russian broadcaster “Carousel” the winner of the selection is being spoilered.
Polina Bogusevich will represent Russia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with the song “Krelya”. 50% of the votes came from an online voting and the other 50% came from the juries. You can listen to the song below:
Who is Polina Bogusevich?
Born in 2003, Russian child singer Polina Bogusevich already has experience with music festivals. In 2014 she participated in the first season of “Golos Deti” (The Voice Kids) where she was in Dima Bilan’s team and got eliminated in the battles. Later that year she represented Russia at “New Wave Junior 2014” where she placed second.
Russia in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest
Russia debuted at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 participating at every occassion since now. Russia won the contest once in 2006 with the Tolmachevy Twins and the song “Vesenniy Jazz”, who represented Russia at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest later with the song “Shine” achieving an honorable 7th place in the grand final.
